There are stories from the frontier and today where a flintlock marksman could shoot their flintlocks upside down in quite possibly the first version of the “Trick Shot”. Contemporary enthusiasts have questioned this for many a year, citing the flintlock mechanism and it’s functionality in the correct orientation.
