Incredibly Rare King William III Period Flintlock Musket | Hands on at the Rock Island Auction

I’m very blessed to have the opportunity to bring you today’s video. Special thanks to the Rock Island Auction Company for giving me this opportunity.

This is quite possibly my favorite muzzleloader of this trip, this is an extremely rare King William III Era flintlock musket, dated to the late 1600s. As far as muzzleloaders from this era go, it is rare to have this particular muzzleloader here in the states.

The simple brass ramrod pipes and butt plate are thin and simple. Its iron trigger guard isn't attached straight, and the carving it's perfectly aligned with the length of the musket, but there is still historic beauty in this piece.

This massive early flintlock is made better with its original plug bayonet. With a blade, nearly 24" long, this short sword adds a formidable look to the end of this 5' long smoothbore flintlock muzzleloader.

If you are a fan of this piece, the Rifle Shoppe has a kit based on this vary muzzleloader. It's definitely a kit on my wishlist!
