West Virginia Muzzleloading Association attends Annual Trappers Convention September 16-17, 2022

West Virginia continues it’s active muzzleloading tradition this fall with the Trapper’s Association Convention this September 16-17. The West Virginia Muzzleloading association will be on site both days to talk muzzleloaders and show new enthusiasts how to load and shoot muzzleloaders in a safe manner. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in muzzleloading to get out and meet their local organization.

The West Virginia Trappers Association will hold their 53rd annual convention Sept. 16-17 at the Gilmer County Recreation Center, 1365 Sycamore Run Road, Glenville.

Gate opens at 10 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday. Demos on both days.

Free trappers education classes Sept. 17; registration at 8:30 a.m., class starts at 9 a.m. Beekeeping seminar at 4 p.m. Sept. 16. Coyote Hunting Seminar at 3 p.m. Sept. 17.

WV Muzzleloaders Association will have classes on learning to tomahawk throw and shooting muzzleloaders from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 17. WV Bowhunters will be present.

Vendors will be present both days with trapping supplies and more. A benefit auction is set for 2 p.m. Sept. 17, while the board of directors will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 16.
