In a facebook post shared August 10, 2021, American Pioneer Video shared the news of their latest DVD release, premiering at the 2021 CLA Show August 13-14.

Contemporary builders of muzzleloading firearms have a wide variety of quality parts to choose from when building a gun. But what do you do when the more exacting parts are not available? Mike Miller demonstrates how to modify available commercial parts to suit your particular project by building a German-style Jaeger rifle from around 1720. Mike teaches how to modify a lock and triggers, make acanthus leaf finials on the buttplate and ramrod entry pipe, make an authentic wooden trigger guard, fabricate end caps for the wooden patchbox lid, make a buffalo horn muzzle cap, and more in this double disc dvd set. Important skills for building fine rifles, Mike takes gunbuilding to the next level.
This double disc DVD set is two hours, ten minutes long of educational, entertaining and detailed information, taped in HD on location at Mike Miller’s shop in Kentucky. $29.95
We will have copies of the video for sale this coming weekend at the CLA Show (look for the MUZZLELOADER magazine banner) and they will be added to our website next week. We hope to see you at the show!
— American Pioneer Video

In an age of video censorship online, American Pioneer’s independent publication of traditional craft content from the contemporary masters is so needed. This video, along with the entire American Pioneer Video catalog will be at the “Muzzleloader Magazine” booth at the Contemporary Longrifle Show.

Next week, the dvd will be added to the online catalog for ordering.

Mike Miller is a contemporary master of longrifle building, and a new addition to his series of videos from APV is welcome. Builders of all skill levels will enjoy these videos. Even if you have no intentions of building your own muzzleloader, the DVDs are a treat to watch, both to get some insight into the world of these craftspeople, but also as a means to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life.

I Love Muzzleloading™ will be in attendance at the 2021 CLA Show all day friday and the first half of Saturday to document the show, the craftspeople that make it happen, and the enthusiasts eager to return after a year of cancellations. Feel free to stop us during the show to talk muzzleloading!
