CVA drops WOLF Muzzleloader from 2022 Catalog - Is a WOLF V2 on the way?

The 2022 SHOT Show (Shooting,Hunting, Outdoors Trade Show) has been lackluster so far for muzzleloading enthusiasts. Many hoped for a new release from CVA, but there is no word yet. What we do have though is the 2022 CVA Catalog, featuring their muzzleloaders for 2022.

Mysteriously absent? The ever popular CVA WOLF muzzleloader.

Fans of the WOLF for it’s accuracy and price point are concerned CVA is leaving the wolf product line in the dust in favor of the high dollar Accura and Paramount lines, but it doesn’t look like that is the case.

We have word from Dudley McGarity, general manager at BPI Outdoors, that a CVA Wolf V2 may be coming this year.

In a comment on the CVA Shooters Facebook group McGarity responded to a question asking why the WOLF is absent from the CVA Catalog for 2022.

With last year’s supply chain disruptions, CVA may be working to get their new products in the US before promoting for a easier experience for both customers and CVA Staff.

This news is not confirmed to be fact, but an updated WOLF has been teased before by CVA’s Jason Sebo has stated on the Muzzle-Loaders.com Podcast where Sebo shared they hoped to give some love to some of their more affordable muzzleloaders to make them even better. Budget modern muzzleloaders may not be for everyone, but it’s hard to argue that they are the entry point for many into the sport. If a CVA Wolf V2 is on the way, I’m sure it will be welcome among muzzleloading hunters.
