“No Powder Shortages”, Schuetzen Blackpowder announces first shipment of 2023

After years impacted by lockdowns and then war, Schuetzen blackpowder is announcing the END of the blackpowder shortage. In a Facebook post shared Friday, January 6, 2023 Schuetzen shared that their distributors (22 nationwide) are stocked with powder and a new shipment is just weeks away.

The news is welcome to muzzleloading enthusiasts who have been dealing with a limited supply of powder for over a year now. Schuetzen stepped up to the plate and hit a home run when they supplied the American market with blackpowder after the shutdown of GOEX in 2021.

In my interview with Schuetzen in May 2022, company representatives James and Tambi detailed some of the difficulties affecting the importation of powder during 2022. It was evident then that both James and Tambi were dedicated to supplying the community with the needed powder to continue enjoying muzzleloaders year round.
