LONOKE, Ark. –– Remington Ammunition has announced a new bullet exclusively engineered for muzzleloaders, Premier AccuTip MZ. Designed for muzzleloading hunting with both modern or traditional 50 caliber rifles, Premier AccuTip MZ’s muzzleloading bullets/sabots provide exceptional accuracy and dramatic performance on big game.
Premier AccuTip MZ’s bonded bullet is guided by the innovative Power Port™ Tip, the same industry-leading technology used in Remington’s popular Premier AccuTip rifled shotgun slugs. On impact, the tip enables quick expansion for deadly energy transfer while the 260-grain bonded bullet provides optimal penetration and 97%+ weight retention.
Tested and accurate with all leading muzzleloading propellants, Premier AccuTip MZ’s bonded bullets pair with an easy loading sabot for quick reloads, making this product Remington’s deadliest muzzleloader bullet yet.

About the Premier Accutip MZ
Remington isn’t just making the Premier Accutip MZ for muzzleloaders, the basic projectile design is used in their line of center fire “Premier Accutip” bullets and cartridges. Some speculate that Remington hopes to see some crossover, bringing fans of the Premier Accutip center fire cartridges to the muzzleloading world by offering the MZ.
What about caps?
We’ve seen renewed interest in muzzleloading from Remington over the past two years with the re-introduction of the Remington 700 ML and now the Accutip MZ, but traditional enthusiasts are still frustrated with the lack of Remington percussion cap availability. We did see a run of Remington caps return in Autumn 2023, but no mention or announcment has been made, formally, by the Remington Ammunition company.
