Southern Ohio Artisans Workshops Announces 2nd Annual Traditional Skills Weekend | May 12-15 2022, Jackson OH

Registration is open for the second annual Traditional Skills Weekend, May 12-15 2022 at Canter's Cave in Jackson, Ohio. Last year's event was a great success! We are bringing back some of the favorite classes from last year and adding a few new ones.

Three day classes:

May 13-15 - Bowmaking with Matt Weatherholtz

May 13-15 - Flintknapping with Johnny Faulkner

These two classes were very popular last year, Matt's bowmaking

class in particular filled very quickly.

Two Day Class:

May 14-15 - Hunting Pouch with Maryellen Pratt - currently only three spots left. Also watch for info coming on a Nurse's scholarship for Maryellen's class

I will be teaching a one day fire steel forging class on both the 12th and the 13th. It can be taken as a stand alone class or as an add-on to one of the 2 or 3 day classes. We also have a couple other possible classes in the works including a new one day 18th/19th century penmanship class.

We have two knifemaking classes on the schedule. Both are currently full but we are taking alternates in case we have cancellations.

Class and contact Information is available on the Southern Ohio Artisan Workshops website. If you have questions please either ask them here or contact us through the website.
