West Virginia’s “Sharpshooters 4-H Club” hosts open house for those interested in shooting sports - Including Muzzleloaders

The Sharpshooters 4-H Club is holding an Open House at the Wood County 4-H Campgrounds at 2 p.m. Nov. 21.

Door prize drawings and refreshments will be available with a shooting sports demonstration. Certified instructors will be on hand to talk to parents and interested youth about the program.

Sharpshooters 4-H Club is a WV 4-H Shooting Sports program under the direction of WVU Extension Service. Trained and certified instructors teach and manage the program.

Participation in the West Virginia 4-H Shooting Sports program teaches young people nine and older the safe and responsible use of firearms and archery equipment.

Sharpshooters 4-H Club has certified instructors who train youth in the safe and thorough use of muzzleloading, air rifle, shotgun, archery, and wildlife conservation.

Age restrictions apply for each discipline. Youth participating in muzzleloading and shotgun disciplines must be 12 years of age and older.
