Rocky Mountain National Rendezvous secures new location for 2021 Rendezvous

After a rough week, the Rocky Mountain National Rendezvous is moving forward with the 2021 rendezvous. On June 28, the RMNR (Rocky Mountain National Rendezvous) announced that due to extreme fire danger, they would be unable to hold the 2021 Rendezvous in Musselshell Montana.

The county just got one fire put out 10 miles from the rendezvous site. it is so crunchy and dry that we would not be able to engage in any shooting activites. The weather forecast calls for high nineties to 100’s for the next two weeks.
But mostly, due to the extremely dry conditions, the landowner will not remove his cattle from our camping areas. He needs to keep his cattle alive. Most people know that cattle are very destructive by nature. So, people’s personal property could get destroyed, not to mention RMNR’s property.
I cannot promise that we will have an RMNR in Montana another year. As of this moment, it is cancelled till further notice.
My heart is heavy.

Was just notified that Musselshell County has officially enacted the stage 2 fireban.
Keep a lookout on the RMNR Facebook page for possible alternatives in another state.

This was a blow to the community and with a dry summer, it can be expected, but after the last year of nationwide event cancellations, getting stopped at the last minute was a real bummer.

The booshways didn’t let the cancellation get them down, they got to work and just one day later secured a new location and started spreading the word. The Rendezvous would keep the same dates, but move to a location near a river, allowing for easy and safe fire suppression for the camp

HELLO THE CAMP
The Board of Directors of the Rocky Mountain National Rendezvous along with the Board of Directors of the 1838 RENDEZVOUS association, along with the 2021 Booshways Jackie Kuhlman , Mike Tomell are Happy to announce we have secured a new site for 2021.
All dates stay the same, those at the 1838 site now that where heading to the Rocky Mountain will be able to stay setup between the two Rendezvous.
Any questions contact rmnr2021@gmail.com or this page. The website should be updated soon.
Sorry for any confusion but Rendezvous is Back on Please spread the word,

Later that day, a new update was shared -

RMNR 2021 IS STILL ON

MOVED TO 1838 SITE RIVERTON WYOMING

SAME DATES

NO FIRE BAN

Watch for a state highway sign close to the river on highway 789, south of town.

Sorry for the inconvenience but had to tear all down from the Musselshell MT site before we could think of finding another site.

We have lost some of our staff and seminars and will be relying volunteers to help with ranges, competition tent chief, etc. If you can help, please call me at 406.690.1791

Camp Fires - no pits (no holes in ground) Camp fires must be contained. Braziers or metal rings are suggested or circle your fire with rocks.

We have to compromise on things that we can and can't do with changing sites. So, the fort shoot and cannon shoot cannot be achieved.

The hosting club will have a saloon set up for our enjoyment.

Am still working on a good supply of ice. No wagon services unfortunately.

Please bare with us, we are trying our very best to make this a great rendezvous. Please remember that this is a last minute situation.

See ya there.
