"Common Use" Buyers Guide for Beginner-Intermediate 18th Century Clothing | For Men
In this video I share a fairly comprehensive buyer's guide on how to outfit yourself for an 18th-century living history event while keeping to a strict budget and making your outfit as accurate as possible. I follow a "buy once, cry once" policy. The items I'm recommending here are not cheap, they can be expensive, but they are quality items, many made in America that will stand up to actual use in the field.
I hope this video helps you get started on the right foot, saving you time, money, and sweat, trying to find the right gear to do what you want to do. This list isn't going to be perfect for everyone, but it will be acceptable for 95% of 18th century living history events out there, and is more than enough for a local club shoot or private camp.
