Pennsylvania beats Kentucky in State vs State Muzzleloading Competition

Last month, the proud states of Pennsylvania and Kentucky faced off in another of their legendary muzzleloading matches. This time PA took home the victory with a score of 1688 and 20x's, beating their Kentucky rivals by 50 points.

These matches have gone one for many years now, originally starting over the naming rights of the Kentucky/Pennsylvania Longrifle. At times, state politicians and celebrities have been involved, but it looks like this year was just for the shooters.

We’re working on digging up more information on these historic matches to share with you. If you or someone you know has some more history of these KY vs PA muzzleloading matches, please reach out.

Special thanks to the PA Federation of Black Powder Shooters for sharing this story with us!
