Artisan Spotlight; Jonah Cain
While at the 25th Annual CLA Show last week I had the pleasure of meeting a young man by the name of Jonah Cain. Jonah is a fine young man from Hope, Indiana and I think it’s fitting he be the first of our Artisan Spotlights here on I Love Muzzleloading.
“I’ve been forging knives for two years started with a rim forge and a hair dryer now have a nice rivet forge with hand crank and hood.
I’m inspired by Hershel House and Alan Hunter. Alan has taught me a lot along the road including pouring pewter fit and finish techniques.Alan is a great humble guy and the world needs more people like him and my parents are always willing to help by taking me places and listening to my ideas.”
It’s great to see someone as young as Jonah being supported by his family, friends and the community as a whole. I heard his name several times before and after meeting him at Jeff Luke’s table at the 2021 CLA show. I encourage you to remember his name, I have a feeling it will continue popping up for years to come.
