Artisan Spotlight; Jonah Cain

While at the 25th Annual CLA Show last week I had the pleasure of meeting a young man by the name of Jonah Cain. Jonah is a fine young man from Hope, Indiana and I think it’s fitting he be the first of our Artisan Spotlights here on I Love Muzzleloading.

I’ve been forging knives for two years started with a rim forge and a hair dryer now have a nice rivet forge with hand crank and hood.

I’m inspired by Hershel House and Alan Hunter. Alan has taught me a lot along the road including pouring pewter fit and finish techniques.Alan is a great humble guy and the world needs more people like him and my parents are always willing to help by taking me places and listening to my ideas.
— Jonah Cain

It’s great to see someone as young as Jonah being supported by his family, friends and the community as a whole. I heard his name several times before and after meeting him at Jeff Luke’s table at the 2021 CLA show. I encourage you to remember his name, I have a feeling it will continue popping up for years to come.
