In what now looks like back-to-back victories, Landon Kenney took 1st place at the Tennessee State Inline Championship.

In a facebook post John Mankin, one of the event organizers had this to say:

Congratulations to Landon Kinney, TN State Muzzleloading Champion for 2021. Landon was shooting a Shultz Precision rifle named Purple Rain. We had a good time, great sportsmanship and good weather. We thank all competitors and sponsors for your tremendous support. It is greatly appreciated. We highly encourage you to support those who support you!

Kenney was shooting the personal rifle of JR Schultz for this match, a slight change up from his father’s Be Still Custom Creations rig from his gold medal run in July. Being a senior in highschool, Landon left Tennessee to return home and compete on his schools’ cross country running team. Talk about a big day, I wish I had that kind of energy!

The rest of the match looks to have gone well for the shooters, sponsors, and organizers. With two seperate matches for blackpowder substitutes and smokeless, there was plenty of competition and friendship to go around. Below we’ve got shots of the scoreboards for each match, smokeless and substitute. It’s nice to see some familiar names from the Hoosier Muzzleloader classic we reported on in July. These shooters are willing to drive, lets get some more matches going people!

Special thanks to John Mankin and Barry Brakebill for hosting this match and sharing the photos and scores online. This is a great match run by some great guys. I’m happy to see it growing each year.
